Tellow is looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our ambitious technical growth strategy in a sustainable and secure way.

Tellow is a fintech company with a product and code that is well developed, documented, and open for new functionalities. Our user base is growing, and we are now looking to scale our operations in 2021. It is essential to continuously innovate our product to make sure we stay ahead of the competition.

Alongside our technical goals, the CTO role will also need to focus on product development and to strategically manage, support, and assist in the selection and development of new features and functionalities within their respective teams. The ideal candidate for this position is aware of trends; creates and analyzes which new functionalities are beneficial to the product and will manage the teams to implement them.

As CTO, you will not be expected to code on a day-to-day basis, but there will, of course, be a high expectation of you to understand coding, to oversee our developers' work, and accurately estimate workload for new features.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end responsibility for product and tech
• Management of the engineering and product team
• Supporting developers in their ongoing work & professional development
• Architecture updates & DevOps tasks
• Act as the primary driver of innovation, both product and tech-wise
• Recruitment, onboarding, and staff management in collaboration with the CEO
• Align tech with the Group CTO
• Quality Assurance and debugging

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role at a startup, scaleup or standalone corporate venture
• Previous startup or scaleup experience
• Previous experience running distributed teams
• Top-notch knowledge and experience with technologies
• Extensive programming and QA skills
• Project and team management skills
• Communication, mentorship, and leadership skills
• Strong product development knowledge and passion
• Advanced knowledge of PHP, Node.js & Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes)
• Developer by heart, dreaming in code

Procedure

The first round of those interviews will be with our marketing team via video call. After that, we will ask you to do an assignment related to your prospective role to test your skills in the field, as we believe this is a strong predictor of your future work. For senior roles a cognitive ability test and personality assessment will be part of the process.
